Sacred Heart is the only school in West Cork and one of only six schools in Cork to offer Computer Science. This new course introduced by the the minister for education Richard Bruton commenced in forty school nationwide this September. We wish the girls and Mr Kiely every success.

The girls were presented with their silver medals from the Engineering Technology Teachers’ Association at the Annual Conference in the Mullingar Park Hotel on November 24th 2018. Well done to the girls on their wonderful achievement and to their Technology teachers Mr Woods.

Read MoreWell done to the 5th & 6th year LCVP classes who were involved in fund raising recently. IMNDA is one of the school’s chosen charities for the 2018-2019 school year. The 5th year class organised a very enjoyable students v staff football game which was very well supported.
Gerardine Hayes visited the school on Friday accompanied by Jacquie O’Regan to meet the girls and was presented with a cheque for €324.80 for IMNDA. Both Gerardine and Jacquie were active members of the Parents’ Association for six years.
The school will continue to engage in fundraising activities to raise funds for this important cause.
