2015-2016 was a remarkably successful year for those involved in sport in Sacred Heart. At a presentation giving ceremony on Friday 27th May 169 medals were presented to 79 students. The 1st year basketball had been presented with their medals at a school assembly. The minor hockey team was named team of the year in recognition of winning the league and the cup and they were presented with their medals at the schools Awards Evening on May 20th.
Success:
Basketball: 1st year team won the league
Camogie: 1st year team won a blitz, Junior and senior teams won the county championship
Football: 1st year team won a blitz
Hockey: The minor team won the cup and the league and the junior team won the league.
Well done to all the girls who represent the school and special thank you to the coaches who take the time to train the teams and to organise the games.
