Today our fifth year LCVP class visited Clonakilty Chocolate as part of our Summary Report. We learned a lot of information about the business and its history. Alison Roberts the owner was born in Canada and became hooked on the craft of chocolate making at the age of 12 when she took part in a local workshop making and selling chocolate in her hometown
Read MoreLast week, the YSI advocates and a fourth years class worked together to put a smile on people's faces. On Wednesday there was a bake sale which raises €100 which will be donated to cycle against suicide. Posters with the motto "it's ok not to feel ok" were put up around the school for everyone to see. On Friday students all gathered together in the ref, decked out in orange to perform a dance we had learnt in UL at a cycle against suicide event. The mascots dressed up in orange onesies handed out sweets and painted everyone's faces orange. At the ends of lunch, feel good notes were slipped to students around the school. It was a very successful week and we hope that the message "it's ok not to feel ok" was heard
