SHSS hockey teams in action against Scoil Mhuire

A busy day on the hockey pitch on Thursday with visitors, Scoil Mhuire the oppossition in both Senior and first year games. The seniors recorded a nail biting victory with penality shuttles deciding the outcome. Having trailed by 1 goal for over 50 minutes, it was not looking great, however up popped Ciara Collins to score an equalising goal and take the decider to the ultimate finale. It was Riona Collins, shot stopper supreme who played brilliantly in goal during the penalty shuttles. Well done to Ms. Russell and the team. The first years also secured a great 1:0 win over the same opposition. Ms. O’ Neill’s charges are showing great potential and the future is very bright!
