Lá an Duine Aosta

On Friday the 22nd  of March, we held our “Lá an Duine Aosta”- or “Day of the Older Person”. We invited in the grandparent’s of fourth year students, and older people from the community.    We entertained our guests with songs from fourth year students, the choir and a fourth year group “One Voice”.  We also had a performance from the fourth year drama group, who did a dance to “We Go Together” from the movie “Grease”. We listened to some old-time Irish music played by our school’s trad group, and had a performance of Irish dancing by Megan O’ Flynn to celebrate 125 years of Irish culture.
